I spent six days there once, had the time of my life. It was one big long
warm weather party.

From what I've heard and understood, the cost of living in Hawaii is also ridiculously high, and it seems as though very few people can actually "afford" to live there. There are many wonderful places to visit ( and live ) right here in the continental United States, and some of it is right in our own back yards. I've never been to Hawaii, and it's really not high on my list for "places to visit" either. And you're right about the concept of paradise quickly losing its appeal. You may love pizza, but you wouldn't want to eat it every night!
