The boiler is such a tough one to take with the price increase! I often wonder if folks are preyed upon when times are rough! sam

That boiler business sounds like a scam like everything else.  Everybody is trying to get every bit of everybody else's money.  What a drag.

that sounds like the gas companies... they are fond of our pennies, aren't they?  my grass is getting tall too, but only because it's too wet to mow

It's difficult to find honest service now - everyone is out for the almighty buck, and because we need the service, we are often forced to go along. I agree with your comment to Nautikos, not much sense in eating the suitor up before!

Re: CCT

Yes well I don't know which is worse being overcharged for the boiler or a so called gardener appraising the cut as he wobbles on his walking stick. Nasty little beasts those mantis, but not much sense in eating the suitor up before,

Re:Pat

Yes not very wise to say you have a headache in Fairy Land. I have been writing comments since half six am and I am glad I am not Chumpet.

Re: JUSTI

Yes Justi I can see I shall have to get someone I can rely on, but it is so wet at the moment I shall have a good hay crop. One just cannot get any satisfaction from phoning they are all polite but do not do anything. Never mind it is not worth worrying over, no one else does. Thank you

Re: Kabu

Kabu Arthur has suggested that I get some waterproof leggings, but they always seem to get sweaty ,I think , I might pick a cheap pair up on Amazon. I can't do much about the grass as it keeps raining, I shall have to sort things out better in the future, I am not going to worry over it any longer.

Re: Chiff.Chaff.

Well Wiley Chumpet is about two feet tall but in fairy land size does not matter, Oh I must apologise the pipe came after I had posted the blog.

Re:

No Shobana I don't know if it would mess the original contract up, I never read the small print. I will just hang on and see if I get any response from my weedy phone call. I might have to have it done as the whole system is thirty years old.

My, the repairs and maintenance does come to an exorbitant amount CC.. have you checked with other maintenance guys for perhaps another quote (my two sens worth here :). The giant and the milkmaid reminded me of Jack & the Beanstalk :)

Chiff.Chaff.

The cost of your maintenance and repairs seems exorbitant and I do wish I could be there to sort it out my friend. The delivery of pipes seems like they should have been purchased elsewhere that's what I'd be tellin' them.

I am trying to get a picture of Chumpet in my head but all I can come up with a Gnome face like I see a few of here. The more I read the more excitable I became and I think Chumpet a rather large creature now. In any case I'm happy I wasn't waylaid by herself anyway.

I would hire someone to mow the lawns and tell archie after. oh and I would

lie about the cost as well. Y' know make it lower than what he was going to charge. yes I am evil tee hee.

My Goodness Chumpet got himself into a mess this time but all ended well. great colors in your flowers as usual.

I can't stand talking to customer service. It's always a pain...Oh yes, Wiley would have been great at handling it...I enjoy those poems where there is a conversation that goes back and forth.

I might tell Arthur and Archie to go play and I would get someone else to do the grounds. I can not believe this business about the boiler, yes call Wiley and have him deal with them. This just made me angry and the things you are having to contend with that you should not ever have to address.

Forsooth. Goodzooks! I detest cold wet socks and boots.

But giants who devour unwanted lovers! Now there's a concept I could adopt (as long as I'm not the unwanted lover). As always the flowers are perfect.

Being overcharged for one’s boiler can make the blood boil…However, if your grass is high enough to siphon water into your wellies you’ll want a scythe to cut it…And being eaten after a night of passion isn’t uncommon – praying mantises do it all the time…
