I got a pneumonia immunization this year that protects against 10 different strains! I was excited to get it, too! The Jubilee has to be such a fun thing to celebrate! I have glimpses of it here and there on the news! sam

Last year I remember getting sick because I got stuck on a trail outside on a rainy day. No fun it was...Extremely difficult it is when we lose a friend...

Chiff.Chaff.

Well Archie does seem to enjoy 'getting your goat' as mum would have said. You do work hard on the plants, even all the ones. I'd love to be there to see Archie's face when you tell him the electric laddie will cut your grass. LOL

The first poem was special and I loved and agree with; "Nothing remains solid we live

in a world that dissolves even as we clasp tenderly those whom we love." The second poem will require more thought to decipher for me, but that's how it is for me today.

Re: Marrise

LO Thank you, I guess we are used to the rain, but it cannot be good for old folk to get chilled. I wish I had given the poem to her husband, but I did not like to think that he might have been more upset. Her mother, sister and she all passed away within a year.

Well Kabu If I could shake off the rheumatics, I would be a 50% fit, or a 100% misfit. Your Mum was just like my Mum and she was only tiny but had terrific strength, I know she would have been horrified to realise the situatation, she lived to Ninety two as I did in a nightmare.

Re:

Shobana what makes me write poetry, either it is a burst of amusement as you offer someone a the touch of your lips. , Or it is the pitiful whine for something that does not exist.Of course the ability to move through, well that is a different story,

Your first poem was touching, CCT. You put into words what many of us feel on losing a friend. I'll have to come back and read the second one again...it tripped me up. Maybe it's too early in the morning....

The weather certainly has fulfilled all the usual gloomy predictions for bank holidays hasn't it?  I have guests from Thailand who are slowly freezing half to death, bless them they have never been so cold.

Loved the poems, the second of them made me laugh

I am so happy to hear that you got some rain, enough to fill your buckets which is good. You poem about your friend touched me. Thank you so much for all that you have taught me CCT.

I always wonder CC what your inspiration is when you write poetry? The first one is simply a beauty..very sensuous, loved the flower - miss these pretty ones unless I go to the flower park I guess I get to see something like these. Over here it is simply hot and I guess it sort of withers aways flowers that want to sway..ha.ha..just got poetical here just like your prose before you wrote out the poems. It seem to rhyme somehow.

I would think that any girl would love to receive your pretty flowers.

Ah dear friend, they seem to have had a wonderful Concert out front of

the Palace and I did enjoy the fireworks. Just a kid I am. Always loved fireworks. I am sorry the Duke of Edinbugh is in hospital, but not surprised. Both her and him have always put the public before themselves. Even Charlie gave a good speech.

Don't cut down too much on the eating, can't afford to have our CC sick and who ever offers help with the garden be sure to accept. You sound tired enough to worry me.

Oh of course I always love the flowers. Sounded like a good little chat with the man who is to put in your fan. Maybe he will help out with the grass. I love the poems but I totally get lost in the conversation part of the post. Be blessed.

I have felt better from slimming down some too and keeping it off, glad to hear it about you.  Sorry it rained on the Queen's jubilee, but it looks like they are enjoying themselves anyway with a colorful pageant.  Liked the descriptions of your friend, sorry she passed.
