I myself am not familiar with berries...Sad it is that she will forget those moments spent together.

Chiff.Chaff.

Well Arthur sure keeps you on your toes and I think if he should find a lady and leave you'd be asea without him. Poem was lovely, you have such a special way with words and I wish the lady love had received what she so much desired.

Re:Shobana

I wondered if the cabbage had been irrigated from a natural source Shobana. Tottering about, I use precise cooking methods, passed down from the ancestors. Take one poached deer a Royal Swan etc. Excuse me I have got to give this pound of sausages to the Street party.

Re Taps:

Well I agree Taps. but I keep putting things off and now I have a large jar of blackberry syrup, one has to let it bubble over the saucepan for the secret recipe if you are interested.

Re: NAUT

Naut I planted six different varieties a couple of years ago I have a big prickly self comer all the others are thornless I think the prickly ones have the best flavour if you don't mind the aggro.  Mine are in full sun and like a bit of good soil. If I were only planting one I would look on the net for the best flavour believe me there is a difference. I would go to a garden centre if you are not sure later on and get the largest plant you can afford in a pot as it will grow so much faster. I also have a few massive plants growing along the boundery but the neighbours are a bit handy with weed killers so I avoid those/

CCT

As so often, you have inspired me. Blackberries are my all-time and forever favourite berries, even before strawberries and blueberries! I buy them often, but I have just decided I shall buy a bush and cultivate them! Maybe If I plant one this weekend, I'll have my very own blackberries next year...Do they need a lot of sun?

I'm afraid I cannot stand to be cooking in the kitchen while someone else is in there doing things too.  I must have the kitchen to myself or I get out and wait.  LOL.  But, I don't really have a very large kitchen anymore either.

Berries are one of my favorite desserts. I didn't read a woman thinking the world mad from your poem. It sounded, to me, more like a woman disillusioned by the 'stainless' lover, and went looking elsewhere. He knew it would happen, watched her go, but didn't seem able, or willing, to do anything about it.

Again with the cream...

I found if you mix equal parts cultured sour cream with fresh whipped sweet cream you'll come up with something that tastes almost like creme fraise. Only fluffier. I'm sure its a million calories a spoonful, but it would be lovely on a bowl of fresh berries.

Stars   I agree with Kabu about your kitchen escapades. Wish that I had a way to send you lot's of cream to keep for yourself. Do you need blackberry recipes?

You two are priceless in the Kitchen together, squabbling like a pair of

old hens as you scratch around. How mean not to share the cream with you. I should send you a box of chocolates and you can tell Arthur they are not meant to be shared as you nibble on them in front of him!
