How could anyone forget about hot black coffee and biscotti, especially when the weather is as cold as it is this evening. I was just trying to decide whether or not to throw another blanket on my bed.

I especially love the gambler part, I had to quit that too in the past, found out it was the same as booze addiction, but you know that.

Wow - interesting post! I did polling as a job when much younger. I'm not sure if I realized at the time how important it could be - it was just a fun (and sometimes not so fun) way to meet people for me.

i had to do a course in statistics in Nursing school and I couldn't
understand it at all. And the tutor couldn't teach it either. We had to pass of course so in desperation I learnt the book by rote. and during the exam just regurgitated it back onto the pages. Topped the nursing school and got all sorts of accolades. Still didn't understand statistics at the end!!!

It's a toss-up whether people have more disdain for lawyers or for statisticians - one could work out the stats, I guess, LOL! But it must come as a shock to many a good Christian that God Himself is statistician, as quantum mechanics clearly demonstrates...

Re: BC-A I didn't know that you retired from a law office...
I did once work in a law office, BC-A. For a couple months after my 4th child was born, while waiting for an opening after maternity leave. But the majority of my work life was invested in academia, 24 years at a university, then about 10 at a community college.

R I did good in the introductory statistics course. But wow I didn’t know that you retired from a law office. So you could be a legal secretary, paralegal or gulp, an attorney love. BC-A, Bill’s R®st
