That is indeed strange weather for your area! I saw you were at my blog so I trust all is well with you! But, dang it, take that stuff seriously! I have been around bad weather and it frightens the heck out of me so I send kudos to you for embracing it, at least to a point! sam

Geez! Keep your head down, dude! And watch the critters . . . they know more about weather forecasting than we do!

Sorry about your weather situation and so far it just stays across the river in QC and leaves Pembroke ON alone. I hope that doesn't change today for us as we pray for y'all.

When that one came to our neck of the woods, the first one in a hundred years we got a few more that year, and maybe one the next and then nothing for the last seven or so. I Hope your bad weather passes soon and all is well with you and yours.

Re: There's usually a greenish cast to the air and clouds when they
Ah - thank you, Pat. I'll look for that next time. The calm was definitely there - it was most eerie - but there was more shades of grey than green. It started again tonight, and it just poured!! Couldn't hear a darned thing with it pounding on my tin roof!!

There's usually a greenish cast to the air and clouds when they
carry that dangerous level of turbulence. Everything is suddenly dead calm, and then the wind and rain hit like a freight train (sound like one, too). Sometimes you see funnel clouds dipping, sometimes it's just a wall of water. Lately our storms have included giant hailstones, the size of hen's eggs and larger. When the calm comes, that's the time to get below ground.

Ours did last a couple of hours, Naut,
but it was nothing spectacular. Maybe two loud claps of thunder in the whole thing, and not much of a wind either. I think the Weather Network was dramatizing!

It was weird as it came along, Kabu. Just...eerie. Good vampire weather!

All is well, Justi. I've seen much worse storms!
I think the one that happened on Friday had us all jittery now - Grrr!

The one thing I'm wondering...and really don't like, TAPS
is that each time a thunderstorm or strong winds is predicted, will the Weather Network make it sound worse to increase ratings? (Ouch - bad grammar there!)

Thanks, FSI - and all is well.
It blew right past us - not even much of a storm to speak of!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! But the weather is a bit strange - we had a couple of mini-storms today! Nothing very serious, no tornadoes or anything, but a sudden darkness, very strong winds, and thirty minutes later it was all over! We had two of those, but the sun's shining now, and it looks like a pleasant evening...

Honey don't stay out too long, or wait to get things inside. They can be right on you before you know it sometimes. Yes it may be shifting, we did not get a single flake last year, but I still don't want you to get a single tornado. Pets often are good indicators of bad weather. Keep me posted, I shall pray for your safety in all events.

My mother hated those things. She was always the first one to the basement even when the rest of us weren't a bit interested in going down there. I know you won't take any chances.
