Probably so, now that you mention it. But, they are pretty slow about stuff like that as they put those things on a first come, first serve list, and the list is long. What they usually want you to do is go ahead and move into another unit that is ready to be let. Then they fix up what you left, at their leisure, and rent it to someone else. Of course you end up with a much higher rent than before.

I would enjoy some new carpeting myself, but I don't want to go through that process. So, for now vacuuming and shampooing will have to do. Since I don't have a pet anymore, mostly what I have to clean up are lots of coffee drips and spills, as Son continuously carries a cup of hot java around with him. At least he doesn't put cream or sugar in it, so it's not too difficult to clean up.

There's a huge difference between carpeting and laminated flooring. I know one of my wife's biggest laments is when one of the cats throws up on a rug or piece of carpeting . . . right next to the tiled floor! One is easier to clean up, the other, not so much. With pets, go with the lamination!
