Right now, with the advancement of more and more babyboomers retiring and aging, the caregiver field seems to be the most plentiful . . . and the most important. These seniors really need help. Best of luck in your searches.

Care giving jobs here are difficult and challenging for a variety or reasons.  Often it appears as a school system where it is difficult to please stakeholders!!  Hopefully it will get better.

It's tough to stay at a job that one does not care for but she has the right attitude to keep it until she can find a better one! I wish her all the best! sam

Re:

well its the residence that lose out as the care is inferior because they want 2 caregivers to take care of 25 residents  They dont provide the residents with the proper equipment and care to make them comfortable, but since they are almost all dementia or alzheimer's I guess they dont think they know the difference, but the families do and take them out.  Not all companies are bad but that is few and far between

Well I must say those where we minister are very happy and appear to do a lot of work but  still have time to sit with the patients and sit while we are there. Some people have a sense of being on one side and the owners of the business on the other. No matter where they work they never feel they are treated right. That is a sad scenario. Businesses are not all bad. Think if there were no businesses such as your daughter's employer where would those people be, crawling around on a dirty hill somewhere without any place to go. Some times we need pink glasses some employers are good.

it is a really tough job. My staff used to have to work much harder than

they should have. The owners won't let you hire enough staff and to get the proper care for your elderly patients you have to work everyone just too hard. Push everyone to do the extra all the time. Then there were Gov. people who would come and over see the facility every year and they would have a whole new set of crazy demands. My Registered nurses had to psend many hours just writing notes when they could have been helping the staff. Good luck to your daughter to find a better facility to work in. They are all tough.
