Following Pat-B's comment about certain beings stopping what they are doing when aware they're being observed - have they determined the gender of particles yet? 10 to 1 they're male.

I can almost follow this one. The particle gun and the pebbles
making waves and all. What's revealed in this experiment is one of those universal states of being that just is. You can stare at it, listen to it, think about it until the cows come home -- and never figure out why it does what it does.
As for the notion that a quantum particle stops what it's doing because you're looking at it -- I've seen kids do that. Dogs too. This science is putting an awareness of the natural order into everyday experience.

Ah well it seems pretty obvious that when one fires at the slit a certain proportion of energy enters the other slit and distorts the pattern it might not need much as presumably no one knows to what degree the pattern is distorted. I suggest Naut next time you Stand by a pool you tie a piece of string on your pebble toss it in and note the result.

sigh!!!!!! trouble for me is classical physics escape me so how the......Oh never mind Write on Mc Duff!!!! I am trying to keep up.
