There are times when I wish things were otherwise, too! But they aren't and I guess that's the way it has to be! And, too bad your brothers don;t show emotion but I suppose to each his own when it comes right down to the fact of the matter anyway! sam

I must ask, did you have a nanny when you were a wee lad in short pants?

The more I look at your flowers the more they intrigue me. I know what you mean about asparagus I am going to grow some along the ditch bank next year. It's up to 4 dollars a pound over here.

Re: NAUT

Well you see Naut, I have only written one poem this week. Sadly what makes me laugh is not funny to anyone else. If you could give me example of a cheerful poem, I would be happy to oblige as the maid said to the Bishop.

Arthur's around a lot, but have we met your other brother? The first poem reminds me of the joys of strawberry time, always delightful but also a sign that spring is at an end, sadly...The second poem is also kind of sad...Do write something cheerful soon, won't you?

It's very nice of Arthur to be caring towards his friend. I thank yu for your concern about my SIL. He seems to be better tonight but we still have to wait for the internal blood to clear for more tests. I am exhausted but will return tomorrow to re-read and enjoy another write and beautiful flower. Good Night, my friend!

I find that fishing is soothing for the soul...Moles never came around my grandparents' garden, only rabbits.

So much affects the blooms and fruit, good lessons learned.

But when it comes to growing children, it takes more than an occasional spritz.

Oh my - child comes in second place to business. That is not good, but the way you tell it in your poem is excellent. LMAO at your strawberry episode!
