Modern and Classical life can be hard and negative at times. Reality can have a bite.

Re adnohr:

You see adnohr uncle reads a lot about evolution and he does not want to upset Chumpet as he has not got a mummy. That's all I ask a smile to add to my collection, I have got a smiles poem somewhere.

That was mean of Uncle to glue the pages together. How is a Chumpet to educate himself?? Enjoyed the poems...brought a smile - I always find one somewhere within each of your posts.

Re: I love the little play between UA and CC,

Well Pat be honest which would you have a beggar or an affluent stock broker. I know dear you would pick the youngest.  Do you not ever write things and think it is a bit banal, but now one thinks one knows most folk, you can get away with every day chatter.

I love the little play between UA and CC,

the parent-child dispute, or testing as it were. Jack & Jill is so tempting to play with, I like what you've done with that one. And the rich man/poor man story, all new again. :)

Re:

FS the nursery rhymes are a bit weedy at times ,but of course they mimicked the situations at the time.

It seems to me that you have a lot of fun writing all of this.
And, you know what, we have a lot of fun reading it.

Oh well the Earl will probably croak pretty soon and then the young couple

can spend his money and live happily ever after.

I like how Chumpet is two years of this and two of that...makes sense to me. Tell U A. hi from Kabu.
