I have read how happy the people of Norway were when they were freed of the Nazis. It seems they have no stomach to stand against wrong until it is too late, until it eats them alive. I also see this kind of attitude in the occupy movement. It sickens me there as well.

Re: Re: a few facts here...you had me agreeing in the beginning of your comment

Christians have been anti-semitic for 2,000 years.

Muslims have been respectful of Jews.  Jews held high positions in Moorish Spain and then were subjected to Christian torture and "conversion" once Ferdinand and Isabella conquered the land.

Again, this is not anti-semitism -- this is a reaction to Zionist repression.  Zionism is not the Jews.  It is a radical movement blind to others outside their narrow agenda.

My goodness, it seems the blame as it were is truly being placed in the wrong area! The positions others take without consulting the facts boggles my mind! sam

your opening statement is historically true. However after that...and to end by saying..

Antisemitism is mainly a Christian thing...No, not when the Arab States are sworn to destroy Israel no matter what and will not rest until that happens.

It's interesting to read how other nations such as Norway react to Israel. It tells a lot, I feel.

a few facts here

Arabs  occupied Palestine for centuries -- Jews lived there in scattered areas -- in the 1800's the Zionist movement was responsible for Jews moving in in greater numbers -- buying land and displacing Arabs who had lived there for generations.

the 1947 resolution that created the State of Israel and set the boundaries was not agreed to by the resident and neighboring Arabs, thus the war of that time and subsequent wars in the 60's and 70's.  Palestinian groups  all are still pretty much in opposition to the aggressive policies of the present Israeli administration, which include the Wall that has shrunk the Arab portion of the land in violation of the treaty that was supposed to give the West Bank Palestinians a measure of autonomy, and the settlements that cointinue to be placed unabated and illegally in Arab lands, and other oppressive measures that alienate  otherwise friendly Palestinians.

Yes it is occupied Palestine, occupied in violation of international law.

And about antisemitism.  Actually this is more being against aggressive and oppressive policies than against a particular group.  Arabs traditionally and historically havebeen much more tolerant of other religions, particularly the Jews, to whom they feel more kinship than Christians (who have conquered and oppressed them and fought them for centuries) a tolerance that Christians have not historically and traditionally had, particularly toward the Jews.  Antisemitism is mainly a Christian thing.

Horrible stuff.  So NOT surprising to one who has studied the Scriptures for many years.   But, seeing and hearing it in the daily news is discomfiting.  "He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus."  (Rev. 22.20 KJV)
