i try not to live on painkillers too never take anything strong. I am thank
ful that the finger is beginning to heal. It surely was a nasty accident.

Diet is a lot more crucial to people's recoveries than most might think. And an 81mg low-dose aspirin can work just as well as a painkiller, without the sluggishness. Keep your chin up, and here's to a speedy recovery!

All drugs have side effects. It is good to keep medicines to a minimum if at all possible. Sorry about your finger accident. I can't help but tell you about an incident that happened when I was young. I had friends who were identical twin boys and they were a handful, always getting into something. One day they were visiting a friends house and found a hatchet stuck in a stump. They pulled it out and started taking turns chopping things. They were making cut mark patterns on the stump and one said to the other, "Chop there." (pointing to a spot on the stump. The other one did, cutting the pointing finger off below the distal knuckle. They were always kidded about that....after the bleeding finally stopped.
