Comments on It's about Time...Part VIII

Time is simply a tool invented by mankind...

to keep track of events. Time's importance to one depends on one's attachment to events, as Justi nicely articulates earlier.

'Time' however, as we all seem to agree, is something else. Any attempts to 'grasp' it soon end up in abstract concepts, whether one looks to science, mystic, both or neither.

That's why, to me, 'time' is much more fascinating than ordinary time, but I totally understand, Naut, that it's not the topic of interest for you here, and still thank you for prompting an interesting dilogue here. Please carry on as you see fit, I shall give my holistic views (scientific + mystic + own) as apt :)!

If one could indeed travel and then come back and everyone gone would be mind boggling for me! And, then I think about some people I would rather not be around and the idea intrigues me even more! LOL! sam

Nautikos

{ The river leads a definite point. However time leads to more than another time zone. A mountain hike might serve as a good analogy with the other end of time. Certainly if you walk beyond the cliff the hiker would find questions about eternity answered. In any event time takes you to the future Naut. It's a heavier answer than we can ponder with gravity. BC-A, ill’s R®st

Mind boggling. So time only seems to be going faster when I'm moving to get things done, and seems to slow down when I'm standing waiting in line (not moving)? Time is actually going slower when I'm moving faster??

Nautikos

I had a relative once with a face that could stop a clock, does that count in your time frame.

Quite interesting Naut, in our own little time span I suppose memory is the nearest we can get to going back in time and in imagination we can jump foward and back . I think a little girl is trying to kick my legs, here Sweetie have a lollipop.

I never thought about one's rate of movement effecting things. It makes sense now that I think about it. I recall that planetary years are different too.

By the time this series is concluded

we should be able to build a machine to take us back to those thrilling days of yesteryear. Wouldn't that be fun?
