If it wasn't for time I would have never been late, had I never been late she would have never suspected a thing, if she had never suspected a thing I would still have my new Eldorado, if I still had my new Eldorado, my Lincoln wouldn't be in the shop broken down...Time is expensive.

I'll continue to read .. I would tend to think that time began when the first creature took it's first breath.

Now when my kids were little their first conciousness of time was hunger...

Time for the milk Mummy.Their tummy introduced them to the concept of Time!

It will be interesting to see where your line is drawn

between consciousness of time, and the internal biological clocks of creatures whom we generally wouldn't see as having much self-consciousness. Dogs, for instance, have some awareness of when Dad is due home, or when Walk-time is up... and they surely have some self-consciousness.  But is their sense of time, conscious?

Why, may I ask, did a sudden image of the rabbit

in "Alice in Wonderland" just pop into my mind? There he goes, consulting his pocket watch, saying "I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date? Alas, it's true, I'm overdue," or something like that.

That's interesting about your hypothesis about time more or less coming from within. It would certainly explain why people feel that it's moving faster or slower.

I'm really not good at this  glad before I hit the floor I found something
to relate to..you have to forgive me dear. True enough, time becomes phenomenal
from the beginning of our awakening days. Til the next chapter...
