Sometimes we are not able to be there at the time of a loved one's passing. Keeping them in our hearts is a gift. Thank you Jimmy!

Jay .. I can only imagine the pain you suffered during that time and understand how some memories are always fresh in the mind. I had one brother who returned from Viet Nam and another who was killed there at age19. God Bless you and thank you for your service!

Everybody needs somebody, and at certain times, they may need them even more. I wish I could have been with my dad during his final moments six years ago, but he was too far away. Now he is with me always.

This story does appeal to the sentimental sides of us all doesn't it?  Speaking of compasion and kindness whith a rich dose of tragedy mixed in it gets to pull on the heart strings

Being a Marine who lost dear friends and brothers in Viet Nam I understand, but it is still too fresh even after all these years.

It affected me and I'm old and nearly died, but my sons never turned up. Your story just made me understand again, how God takes care of things in His own beautiful way. We humans are all related, and you're a loving relative.

it helps when one hears all the hate and evil in the world, all the greed

and envy that there could be a young man so full of love. someone who could follow through the urgings of his heart and ease the suffering and loneliness of an old man rather than to add to them.
