I can appreciate the difficulty in accepting the gift but try to look at it from their perspective: it is a great opportunity for them to say thank you to you and your husband! They may not have an opportunity like this for some time, we all know how tough it is to get started after marriage, so it would be a grand gesture on you part to humble yourself in an effort to help them out, too! I would think your Mom is in great pain and just needs to end it! Let the others say what they will but pain is very depressing and she should just get it done and hopefully she will be well enough by the wedding to enjoy it pain free! I know it is tough on you but you never fail so just roll with the punches and all will be well! Nice to catch up with you again, too! sam
