For some reason this does not surprise me. The system is not overly concerned with convenience for those involved. So sorry you are having to deal with this.

One would think that they would let him out, even if he had to wear a
monitor thing on his ankle for house arrest or something. Doesn't seem right to just keep him in jail without trial for months and months.
