It sure is FS good job we are not being paid for doing it.

Weather sure has its role in impacting every business...It can be tough to write when the days are ordinary...

Re: Sam

Sam I should not think A girl with Jes's talent comes along very often. I hope she can settle now for a bit and as you say remember everything comes at a price. Ironically it has rained and of course I have no extra storage until the buts come. I have brought a lot of pots near to the house, as one is allowed to draw water from the tap and use that if carried. Of course that concession may not last.Keep smiling

You can repeat any of your photos and I would enjoy them all over again! Too bad on the containers! I think it is good you were able to get the smaller ones but it seems more of a hassle, but if one is going to collect the rain it has to be done in the fashion that is available! I know what you mean on those days when we simply just CAN'T, I have them too!

Jes took a job yesterday! The owner of the salon said she was a natural with color! She was so nervous she had a stomach ache, but I told her it was probably butterflies. Her aunt's hair looked great and she got a cut with it! All that and no expense to her! Jes can use a razor blade to cut which a lot can't and the owner was astounded at her ability to do that too! She can make her bills this month and it won't set her back too much either! The main thing is to get them paid on time and make up the difference over a period of a few months! I am so pleased for her to be able to stay on track without too much interruption! At times, especially from ages 18-22 they have trouble handling credit via the cards and can get into so much trouble so quickly! Even adults that I talk to now I try to get them to understand the times it takes to pay off binge shopping and charging! Alas, it is their woe in the end! Jes has learned a lot in the last 6 years of being on her own and only has one more year to pay her way out of the mess she made! All in all the move is a good one for her, she's happy and relaxed and that's always a good thing for me!

It has to be tough dealing the limitations of the drought! I suppose one just needs to get through the season and hope for the best the next year! We have had drought problems in my desert but fortunately not severe! The most panic is when they can't get the reservoirs filled to capacity or the snow fall is light! But, never have been affected to the degree you are facing! Here's to hoping it ends as soon as possible! sam

Re:

jAY thank you, I don't think there are so many on here as there were, probably trying to scale back expenses, I agree the time factor for writing a decent poem must be considered, if one is not on a run, it can be frustrating. Thank you again.

Re: CCT

Wiley just a bit tired, I really must get someone to cut the grass next year, I can do it but I don't feel that I want to. I don't think Arthur is up to doing it as there is a lot of lugging and pulling the machine back from bushes and trees, if it was a straight run it would be OK. That was nice of Danny, HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Re: I don't mind how many pictures you post for they are so cheery and

Kabu surprisingly pansies do not like the heat . I like to autumn plant and spring flower, which may not be possible in your climate. I am trying some freesia's in pots in my small porch, must use heat treated corms for quicker results. I do feel a bit sad for you having to battle against the elements, but at least you have plenty of water and without that we would all turn up our toes.

Re: I would love to hear you and Arthur carrying on one of your chats.

Pat Arthur is my brother 15 years junior, Archie is a man who worked for me from the age of 12 to 45 and is now a milkman. Arthur was all for moving a couple of years ago , but seems to have shelved that idea. He has a house quite near, I don't think he has the initiative to move somehow.

This is so true CC, one must keep writing and sometimes re posting because it is so difficult to write a good quality poem each and every day but I try my best. It is too bad that we here on Blogit do not reward the quality of work, but the quantity of comments given regardless of quality. You however do not need to worry about that as each piece you write is a jewel...I mean that honestly CC.

Interesting post, I said to Kabu you sounded a bit depressed and we hope that isn't the case. Just because it sounds a bit like you'd rather give away a fiver instead of a flower. That would be a shame what with you having fertilizer for fingers and all. My brother Danny called me to wish me a Happy Birthday today, he's 86 and has lung cancer he's fighting with. You made me think of this aging business and I agree we change and get grumpy at times, I'm like that a bit.

I don't mind how many pictures you post for they are so cheery and

we are still weeks away from flowers here. I did see some pansies for sale but they looked wind blown and half dead. I left them there.

I would love to hear you and Arthur carrying on one of your chats.

It seems from reading your journal entries, the two of you are well met. :)
