Nautikos
I'm doing a little catching up as I've been on another extended forced "vacation". I have mini-collections of all sorts of glass and porcelain items...including quite a few tea cups and saucers that I started collecting when my Grandmother gave me a couple from her collection when I was a little girl and I became enchanted with the delicacy of the china. But, most of my favorite pieces are Nippon....especially some humorous cups that when tipped up have Geisha girls visible in the bottom!! I did all my searching in antique shops but, like you, have had to stop collecting due to space constraints.

Lovely cups, Nautikos. I can remember when ladies in my area would give a special cup and saucer for wedding showers. And you will be posting about the other article with the memories attached, won't you? Picture too, of course!

Such striking beauty! You have a marvelous collection! And, it looks like the Blue Jays are going to be a fine team this year! They had a very good Spring training record! It is going to be fun and I can't wait! Best of luck to your team, too! Verlander opens in Detroit tomorrow! I am anxious to see how this team fairs, after all with the payroll we are the new Yankees! LOL! sam

How fun it must be to have tea at your house. Is there some special kind of biscotti or crumpets that you serve with your tea? Perhaps toasted English muffin fingers with orange marmalade?

Hello .. Your collection is very beautiful! The second one is my favorite because of it's unigue design and saucer. I once thought of doing a blog on china, depression glass and pottery but didn't think their would be a interest. I hope you do more postings of your treasures.

The cups are lovely -- I like the bottom one best for some reason.
My dad was on the USS Saratoga for several years before and including WWII, sent back a few things -- I had a pair of salt & pepper shakers with elaborate dragons on them, gold "feet." Unfortunately I broke one, so I only have the salt shaker, but it's still interesting to look at. Good to have a case to keep them in so they don't have to be dusted all the time.
