This that I comment is plagiarized from CCT. I truly admire the man, and this way my emotions won't get carried away as they do over subjects like this, and I would hate being labeled any nasty thing.Besides, you're such a wonderful friend and have been so for a long time, and that has more value than my opinion which won't change a damn thing.

Critics on the Israeli right have alleged that Morris's first book betrayed (portrayed?) Arab sympathies and have criticized his work as biased for that reason. Morris responds that they failed to read his book with moral detachment. They assumed that, when he described Israeli actions as cruel or as atrocities, he was condemning them. In fact, he writes, he not only fails to condemn, but in many cases supports Israeli actions during 1948.
That support does not stop him from wanting to describe them.
Morris wrote in the Irish Times that "There was no Zionist 'plan' or blanket policy of evicting the Arab population -
Morris has criticized Ben-Gurion for not carrying out such a plan, saying "In the end, he faltered... If he had carried out a full expulsion - rather than a partial one - he would have stabilized the State of Israel for generations.

Re:
Sam, thing is he reported what he found in Israeli government records, which did not support his personal views - he is a staunch believer in Israeli supremacy, accomplished by any means possible. If you read the whole article about him, you would see that. And I do believe Native Americans and African Americans should be treated much more fairly than they are and the same goes for any people invaded, abused and displaced!

In your citation of the of your post I went to and read some of it and discovered that Morris has a tendency to choose sources which support his views, and he avoided documents which were inconsistent with his principal agruments! So, when you use porpaganda to open your post I couldn't agree more because if he will only use information to support his view it is indeed propaganda on his part as well! Perhaps the best solution in all of this is to discover what the Palestine truly want, make sure they get then follow up with our country, or do it first to lead by example and return everything to the Native American for they were overcome by force in the settling of this country! When these things are accomplished we could look at Tibet because they want the Chinese out of their lives, and then we continue until every group who has been overtaken around the world gets back what they loss! I am not being flippant here, I really mean it! sam
