Well the globe is warming right now but it's been doing that forever, Gore saw a way to become wealthy with the ignorance of humanity and governments especially. Now they are trying to make new industries rise up ot of man's guilt for 'causing'the problem.

I am sure that global warming will continue to be debated for a long time...

I am not sure about any of this but it was nice to think that the world can
all co-operate and do something together, even for an hour.
The Australian Gov. has just brought in a carbon tax and I think it has the possibility of bankrupting my country. Power bills already exorbitant are to increase and while Australia becomes less competitive selling commodities, Canada is sneaking in under our guard to sell to Asia, Australia's traditional trading group.
So I am wondering just who is right in all this.

"Global Warming," "Climate Change," etc., these monikers mean very little, because, as the saying goes, talk is cheap! I would much rather rely on the most solid evidence we have: satellite imagery. When I saw the photos of the arctic ice caps as they appeared in 1970, and then as they appear today, you will never, ever be able to convince me that there is nothing more going on other than simple climate change! The shrinking and expanding of these ice caps has been going on for thousands of years, but the shrinking part ( and non-reexpansion ) has been more dramatic over the past fifty years than at any other time in our planet's history! Don't try to tell me that man's involvement has been minimal, and that this erosion would have happened anyway! Place an ice cube from the freezer into the refrigerator, and it will melt over time. Place that ice cube on the counter, and the melting process is speeded up. And that's what we've done . . . helped speed up the process! And guess what? Scientists have already proven that it's waaaay too late to reverse the process! Surfs up, everybody! I hope you don't own any beach-front property, unless it's in Kansas or Oklahoma or Missouri, where the new beaches will be formed!
