Sure, FSI. I understand that completely. You wouldn't really want to become stagnate with any aspect of your life. But at the same time, I know plenty of people who would wish certain aspects of their lives to remain as is! If you can control the change, there is very little difficulty. But if it is changed for you . . . some people find that extremely difficult to deal with! Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, again, depending on the circumstance.

Re:

Hi again to you too, my lovely lady. I'm glad you can sympathize with the dining out situation, although I was only using these restaurants to make a bigger point about change and changes. There are soooo many things in life that people can become attached or used to that, when they change, are sometimes hard to deal with. Some changes are good, some are bad, but almost all of them require a certain measure of thinking that can be somewhat difficult. Thanks for visiting!

Re:

Actually, Bright, we did do that, although it was actually more fun to simply drive into these various towns and see the restaurants first hand, and then decide whether to try them or not. Some were better than others, for various reasons, but we still never found a replacement for that one, peaceful, quiet little cafe. We'll keep looking though!

Re:

Of course, Sam. Like I said, it was fun discovering new restaurants, but we really, really missed the ones that closed too! I guess like anything else in life, you must learn to take the bad with the good. It still stinks sometimes though!

Well Kabu, as I wrote, some changes are good, some are bad, depending on the circumstance. It's just hard sometimes when something is a permanent "change" that you have absolutely no control over.

Change is what I feel makes life interesting. When they are permanent they do indeed vary with regard to their quality.

Hi again Jimmy...

I know how you feel about these restaurants.  There was a wonderful little place very near our home called Teresa's that served home cooked meals.  They were fantastic!

Sadly, they closed down a few months after opening.  Then re-opened a year or so later only close for good after only a few weeks.

I hate changes!

Sorry I haven't been by for a while.  Please visit me again!

BirdieSome changes are for the best but others force the people and places we love and enjoy to move away or just simply disappear and we have no control. Check the Internet for restaurants in your area and you may be pleasantly surprised .. I was.

I embrace change but at times it's difficult to roll with the punches so to speak! I know what you are saying about a favorite restaurant closing though! It does afford an opportunity to check out other places and that can be fun, too! sam
