With the increase in gas prices (and not to mention the negative way ethanol breaks down lawn mowing and weed wacker equipment), I cannot but see that landscaping costs will have to go up.

Cheap labour
In the Uk we have so many foreign workers, that you can always get a cheaper quote. Trouble is, it's a race to the bottom and there is no mark up left for anyone.

FS as long as you are happy with it everyone tries to get longer contracts I suppose basically people are lazy and do not bother or notice if they remain competitive, I am sure this would not apply to you. So the best of luck.

Going greener is always a good thing! Especially for a landscape company
...:) I hired teenage kids from the area last year and they did a great job with the lawnmower though the weedeater wasn't too popular. I had to nudge them a bit but all in all, I felt I got value for my money.

If it suits you then it's fine! I do mow my own lawn but it's because I like the exercise and I am very particular how I want things done! sam

I am quite sure that they can't put their price hikes up too drastically
each year or they will lose their competitive edge. Some one else would move into their area with a cheaper deal.

I cut the grass myself. Actually, no - come to think of it, I don't! My LSW does - but she likes doing it...
