Ray reminds me of listening for that sound near midnight as the train rolled in. I set off then for the station to retrieve 500 hundred baby chicks which were pleased to be put under lamps and have a drink.

Great!  i've always loved trains.  Rode them so much as a child.
I especially love to hear the train whistle off in the distance at night.
