If we check our history lessons...

Activism is why we are free to express ourselves. Keep on expressing!

Re: You're right on, Ex Turpi

I'm a big believer of activism in motion. Still a doer too, as much as my recent health issues allow. You're welcome and thank you.

Then you should get on the stump and persuade women to vote for the cause you deem just. That is what Democracy is supposed to mean. I never knew of this bill before. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Katray 2

Aww, you're a good man, WileyJohn. Nothing wrong with being male; many of us women would be terribly bored if your gender wasn't, lol. Thank you for visiting.

Re: regarding this entry of yours

I think you are correct, Xeno. They have really out-did themselves and who would have thought that possible after Bush/Cheney?? I know we need a wider representation of the citizenry but the Republicans surely aren't it!

Re: hey

No problem, Xeno. I appreciate your insights and will be over to read.

Katray 2

It is great to see you so involved again and on subjects that I usually find difficult to discuss. I never read Margaret Atwood but that isn't so strange for a guy that is more attached to Zane Grey, John Grisham or DeMille. Maybe I'm part of the male/female problem or something.

you are always a joy to read and an asset on blogit dear and I think

that there is always going to be some section of any given society that wants to remove the rights of Women and Children and minority groups. Why I don't know but religions across the World and Dictatorships so often seem to be radically Patriarchal. Not always but so often so very often.

I'll be watching to see where things go from here.

regarding this entry of yours

Republicans are probably glad to find some reason to oppose the act because on the surface they would be noted as opposing protection of women -- but with these clauses, which really are harmless to their viewpoints, they can find a reason for opposition - - disregarding the greater good.

But it helps them with narrow-minded Conservative Christians.

But I think nobody else, thank God.  I think they have acquired the means and opportunity to self-destruct in this upcoming election -- and I certain hope to God that this true so the Conservatism can be a extinct relic of a better forgotten past.

hey

i hate commenting here on something you said to Justi, but since she has blocked me from commenting . . .

i don't mind if you delete this -- this aint quite the appropriate blog for it

let me just say that I presented a more historically accurate history in the blog I just finished in News and Politics -- and it has a lot about Israel etc.

needless to say Justi is grossly inaccurate.

Well said, CCT. Yes, very sadly, there are men and children who are abused too. Thank you..

I think it's a sign of a creative mind to be distracted by new ideas everytime you try to get on with something

Well Ray it is good to see you taking an interest in anything, personally I are against violence not only to women, but to the few poor men who also suffer from the same problem and children of course. The trouble is the victims, are very often too ashamed or embarrassed to reveal their plight. I am glad you are writing poetry again even if it is tidying up older projects.
