I read this yesterday, but I can't find where i commented on it. It must have been one of those times I got sidetracked by pondering on your poem which, by the way, I liked very much.

I feel that you have described bliss well in this poem...I wonder how many people there are who read without leaving a comment or calling card.

I think it was a good idea to merge your blogs into one,
so we can enjoy the flower photos and the poetry, the whole of it all together. I also enjoy the comments, it's like a friendly conversation here. :)

Re: CCT
Bill if you can lift it above your head, it is yours. Arthur said when he was younger he could do that, but he has got a medal for weightlifting.

Re:
Adhnor No prob. As I said, I don't really mind if people just read, I know some people haven't got the time and have to read other things, without knowing what your plants are, but the usual thing is not to over water and of course they may need repotting at one stage, if they are going to become to big, perhaps you could propagate a little chip off the old block, I would not think Bird would mind, well that's just a feeling.

I come in as often as I can...when still able to read words instead of numbers... but I check your answers too, C.C. - so please put me down as a 'yes'!
I know NOTHING about gardening, although I love seeing those of others. Sam has been helping me for the potted plants that Bird left me (he made me promise to take care of them, in spite of him knowing I'm not very adept) and maybe I can pick up some pointers here too. One thing for sure, I don't want to miss your stories about Archie and the goose and your wonderful poems...so...Home and Garden...here I come!

Re:
Hi Jay yes I have put you down as answer, I find it much better to have everything on one blog. Yes I know I sometimes delete my e-mails and then wish I hadn't. I have deleted all your last year's flowers, so the ones I show will be this year's it is just for the ladies really, I have planted some early cabbage which we shall probably use as spring greens, tomatoes are about 2 inches high, my brother grew them for me, but I don't think he gave them enough heat as they did not have much root growth, but they are coming online okay now, the trouble is the cat has taken to sleeping or resting on the sand bed as warming cables run under the sand.

Now I see what I have been missing. I stopped by here long ago and there were only flowers, and I was caught up in your journal post, so now that I know I will be hard to shake. I have got the garden ready for planting now, but still a bit early here. The herb garden needs to be thinned and cleaned out. I was going through my email today. I let it get away and there were over a thousand. I must apologize as I found two that you had sent months ago. I must pay better attention as there were others like yours that I was truly saddened to have overlooked. Anyway, I wanted to thank you so much for all the nice things you had to say...You are sort of a mentor of mine. I look up to you and I thank you so kindly for your kind words and advice. As far as wanting a answer put me in line with Kabu and the others. I know that I seldom give replys to my comments, but I try to if there is a question.

Re:
yes I think I get it Sam I will reply to your comments that is only five so far and I think I will just say thank you to the nons . Well I am not too happy about potting I think I shall cut them down, about three years ago I was ill and could not hack the thought of doing the extra work, but I recovered much to my customers relief. My legs are so stiff at the moment, I hope by exercising to cure them, I was silly digging the ground on a frosty day or two, but one never learns. I shall have to get someone to cut the grass, unless I recover by then. That lady will have to learn the hard way, you cannot do much if someone has no will power. When we were bone poor we never bought anything unless we could pay for it, but a culture has arisen of wanting everything today instead of waiting. Thanks for the advice.

She is rather curious as to what is going on with your blog I see! Well, there isn't that much one can see anyway! Now, I will check back on comments to comments at your blog! Sometimes I see them and other times I don't but if I say I would like a comment to a comment then I will check the comments! Okay, now that all is confusing, if I make a comment and it warrants a reply I will check back in! So, to make sure that you have a reason to comment on this comment how are you doing?
And, you are so right that there comes a time when we just stop doing the things we have been doing for one reason or another! I am faced with that dilemma as well! I have been helping a gal with her budget and getting her credit cards paid off but she continues to run them up! So, I said after her first pay period in June I am done because she is wasting my time. She is not learning to budget if I spend my time fussing over it to get it balanced! We shall see what happens around the first of June!
And, if you are tired of potting plants for those who take it for granted I would put them on notice this year so they won't expect next year and they have plenty of time to figure out what to do for the following year. Just my humble thought! sam
