Mandy at least you're not hurting anyone. Not being cruel to anyone. If you want to sit in a black closet, or sleep under your bed, it is fine by me. A good many folk do a lot worse things. I would be more worried about the smell of the black paint in a confined space and like it to be aired out a bit first,

Well, I've known people who meditate regularly
and they mostly meditate with scented candles or a small water fountain, or sitting on a hill where they can see all the world at their feet. You're the first I've heard about who wants to be in total darkness. I hope it brings you peace and joy. :)
