A nice dog you got there. It was quite the event getting him off of the bed, I see.

Beautiful, looks just like my much missed Kata. You will certainly be delighted with this highly intelligent companion. Perhaps you could teach him to write about his adventures with you. Scratch his chest, and give him a little scratch at the base of his cropped tail, and tell him what a good boy he is. Also, these hounds need to run, and point at everything. Notice the straight line from head to tail of the point. Best of luck with Ben

What an encounter! I know you have to take control but that had my heart race for I thought with the way it's been going this would be the ultimate ending! It will be a chore but he is so handsome and has a smart look to him, too! Kabu's comment was too funny, so next back rub, painted toes, eh? lol sam

Naut I think you had your chips, when you looked into his eyes, a bit of a job to train, or discourage old habits, but one has to be firm. He looks like he is a quick learner.

Ben is a beauty and is going to be lots of fun and a heart healer.
I was disappointed in your toe nails though. Didn't you once promise to paint them for us for when with the animals.....so back then it was chipmunks....never mind perhaps your next pics.

He's a beauty, even looks like you and I'm happy you did that alpha male thing. I tried that with Kabu and haven't won yet. I think there is an alpha female and she's it. Never mind I like the floor on her side.

He is a handsome boy. Yes pack leader is key. As a child I watched my father train setters. It was beautiful to see how they hunted knowing just what to do and always doing it with very few exceptions.
I had my own dog and was not allowed to play with the dogs being trained to sell. It was strange how Daddy could be the pack leader and pass that off to the one who bought them, mind you the buyers got some instructions. We are going to enjoy this boy!

What a handsome lad!! LOL - having to establish the 'leader of the pack' thing is a must, isn't it? Smooch and I are still working on that one. SO happy for you - he's a great looking friend!

He is a beauty! I sure wish I could have muscled the Hellhound into submission....the few times I did , it never "took". The vet told me his family raised Border's and they are known to sometimes suffer from schizophrenic tendencies. You didn't tell us what breed Ben is and I'm curious...I love his coloring! He'll be a great foot warmer for you in your climate and looks like he's ready to have some really soulful exchanges with some late night wine....one look into those eyes leads to all kinds of thoughts as to the meaning of it all, doesn't it? (You wouldn't believe the discussions Bliss and I have; a cat has a whole different perspective on the world!)

Oh, he is cute. My neighbor had one of that breed.
I hope Ben is as smart and willing to learn as he is handsome.

I like him. I also like it that you are willing to show him who is boss. Nothing worse than a pet out of control. I used to watch that Cesar TV show about dog training and always thought that if I was going to have a dog I would want it to be well trained.
