In light of today's headlines, I'd say the pet people
are far more kind hearted and have much more humanity than most of those in charge of protecting vulnerable humans. I hope you and Ben will love and respect one another for a very long time. :)

Oh dear Naut, I walked into a place hoping to adopt a goose, but I had to listen to a nice couple being lectured as to the way and wrongs and potential visits to the vet which would be needed and probably policed. Outside there were about 50 dogs all looking anxious to be adopted each in his own little prison. Ben was lucky and he knew it was his lucky day. I chickened out and adopted one that was going to be a Christmas dinner.
