Actually, I don't think it is all that great of an analysis (see FSI comment) because I think you read into my comment what you wanted to read into it. I should have put "speech hate crimes" in quotation marks because that is not an original of mine. It is all over the net. Also, I quite took into account both the love and the hate connotations of Mark Twain's quotation. I think it is a good quote because so many people in USofA don't really know what to think about Muslims in their world. If they "traveled" with them for a time, it just might help them to get off of the fence and make up their minds where they stand on this subject.

A fine analysis of both TAPS and adnohr's comments...It sure can be tricky to define the difference...As always your posts are making me think.

anti-
Anti-Jesus teachings of hating one another,,,, are for those that want nothing to do with a loving Creator. Blinded by fear, they shall perish.

For a peaceful religion I find it very troubling that there is so much call to death for those who do not believe the way they do! I will never believe that their prophet is real and he is a man who wanted to be glorified and remain in history that's why I think he is so ruthless in his scripture as it were! God is loving and there is no way he would call for a people such as the Jews, His chosen, to be taken off the face of the earth! sam

I have to admit to you that I have never traveled with a Muslim(s), but I have worked with several, some of whom I was in charge of on a regular basis. One that I worked with for probably ten years was actually named Mohammad and liked to be called Mo. Anyone could tell that he really did not like to have to answer to a woman about his work. We didn't talk often about religion because both he and his wife were quite forceful about their beliefs, even to the point of becoming hostile if pushed past a certain point by some "infidels". I have a feeling that he was probably quite knowledgeable about the teachings in Surah.

You are right about the unease, Naut. In reading, chatting, listening, I hear much more of it being expressed just in my entourage alone. Folks are becoming aware, and don't like what they're seeing and hearing. As for me not being famous, I'll have you know that I am quite famous - for procrastination - which is why I'm reading your (and other's) blogs instead of working on tax forms which are due tomorrow night before midnight....
