Re: JimmyA
See? So I wasn't too far off on that one! You'd better not forget! That would be . . . um . . . stupid!

I love that "you can't fix stupid." And the birthday one is a hoot because Kabu's is the day before mine in April so I better not forget. LOL

Re: I 'm not sure
In these examples, one does not seem somewhat worse than the other? Perhaps for a few the variation seems slight, but I still think stupid is worse than dumb.

I 'm not sure
which one's I'd call dumb and which stupid.

Re:
I hope so! I'm sure there are many other examples, but I think the bulk of these proved my point!

Re: these were neither dumb nor stupid...just good advice. LOL. I do enjoy
Thanks. I guess I really didn't necessarily look at these as advice. Perhaps they're more of a wake up call to those who may have trouble "kick-starting" their brains once in a while! Still fun though, huh?

Re:
Thanks, FSI. I tried to make the extremes as far apart as possible! Yep, some things are dumb, some things are stupid! I'll leave it up to everyone else to decide on other examples!

Well, I don't know about Paradise, Sam, but as writers with much to say about a myriad of topics, it's still nice to have a "home." And did I "touch a nerve" of sorts about the drunkards at company picnics? Hmmm . . .

I feel that this shows the line between the two very well.

Betting on the Cubs over the next few years is saying good-bye to yer cash! But, it will happen one day! And why people get drunk and shoot their mouths off at company functions is beyond my comprehension! Liquid courage never really got anyone anywhere in my experience! And, this site, one must read to build up a readership! Folks don't read on this site like they used to! It seems one has to go their first before they will come to yours! Alas, another day in paradise! LOL! sam
