It is today, TAPS, but w've had snowfall and blowing winds and gray skies for the past 3 days. Electricity was on & off last night, then shut down for about 45 minutes too...during my hockey game. Pretty today though...big melt going on out there!

This is one of those posts I read right after you posted and then got sidetracked and did not say "Hi!"

This was one very adorable tale. Really enjoyed reading it.  Oh, and the scene through the window makes me want to live up the mountains.

We live in a community of horse property surrounded by new subdivisions, but still my neighbor lets his dogs run, Last year they killed one of our cats so now we must keep them in. I built a fence so my dog can run the full acre, why can't he. So I am with you on running dogs. Your chicken smelled good all the way down here.

This is so beautiful, thanks for sharing. It is the lack of care and respect from dog owners like your neighbor that gives good dog owners like you and others a bad name in some areas. There were adults and children maimed and one death in a short period once when we lived in Atlanta. For awhild most people wanted all bulls and many other types put down. These dogs were owned by people who cared nothing about the dogs, themselves or those who were or could be hurt they were drug dealers. I love hearing you talk about the way your dogs are trained and you can see how they are blessed for that, they are loving, healthy and will take care of issues you okay and stay out of others. Good dog owners are diamonds in natures jewel box. My dad was one of them.

This is real wild country Andhor, I guess you need a couple of dogs. It is quite interesting to see how other folk are living in the wilds. Although believe it or not most elderly folk are afraid to go out at night these days, so upon reflection unless you have any  wild

wolves or bears knocking around it must be pretty good .We would kill for that view

re: the last couple lines -- sometimes I think it's really an insult

to the dog when we refer to a man who chases women as a dog. Dogs I know are both dependable and loyal; 'nuff said.  Baked chicken? I can almost smell that wonderful stuff. Great to look at the brilliant snow scene while anticipating a delicious meal indoors..:)

It was so cold here today but the sun was beautiful to look out on.

We realy are lucky to live up here and look towards those mountains.

I love your vista! What a peaceful place to live! Man alive I don't get some owners as well! It is costly indeed~ My daughter's dog like to hop over the 6' fence and he ended up at the pound, TWICE, and she paid into the hundreds for his rescue! Tough lesson through finances but it might make all the difference! I left you a comment at your last post! I haven't been reading the past couple of days and sorry I missed your post! I will save you the reread on the poem, it simply was about a gal who lost her singing gig at a lounge! LOL! sam [I want some soup, too!]
