Sorry to hear about your family problems, but given time I have always found that these things soon wash themselves clean. Don't expect family to be like you, or to think like you. Give them some space and they will come to their senses.

I am spotty on my reading and posts, too, but for different reasons.  I only have two cats.

I like your stance, it is the best way to go in my humble opinion! I wish you all the best and look forward to hearing how your brother is doing! sam

Dr.JPT

I have missed you and the good thing for me since you have been here, is that my sister is out of the hospital to which she had been ordered by a court to go to for a few weeks. A couple of very good psychiatrists sorted her out and she is moving with her dementia ill husband to a new government facility/apartment where he will be on one floor and 'M' on another. He will have professional assistance 24/7 and a tracking bracelet in the event he wanders off. So, 'M's mental health should return and she telephoned me/us today and she sounded better than she was.Great to see you bacl luv.

Groan, I will pray for your situation as people are praying for my

situation with my son and DIL. I agree with you there comes a time when one has to say enough.

You are in my prayers as you navigate through this challenging situation.

I guess this is really tough for you, my siblings will occasionally throw a tantrum at me, but they never hold a grudge well hardly, about the same as me, we all hold little grudges that are kept under control. Of course you want to help your brother, one would have thought that was a plus, perhaps your family disagrees.

One can only really control oneself, never another.  In controlling oneself, one sets a good example for others that, in the long run benefits more than any attempt to control another.

I guess as the old saying goes . . . you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family. It's a shame you have to deal with such a conflict.
