Yes, it is, Former. That's why my wife and I felt compelled to locate this tavern! I really hope to visit it someday. However, I will still never actually know how this pin made its way to Jersey, by whom, and why they threw it away into a box of used ink cartridges!

Re:

That's what I figured, Taps. Either a worker or a patron brought this beautiful pin back up here to Jersey, but why they threw it away will always remain a mystery! Obviously you've been to this tavern more than once! It sounds wonderful, except that my wife is a vegetarian, so her selections sound limited. Still sounds like fun though.

Re:

Sure, Sam. It was kinda fun to explore. Of course having the name of the tavern on the pin helped, but it was still interesting to investigate! try it!

It's neat to think of the possiblities of where various things come from.

This colonial chophouse (King's Arms Tavern) serves the finest in the King’s grand tradition by costumed staff.  Favorites include peanut soupe, Norfolk pottage pye, and an 18th-century sampler, generous cuts of prime rib of beef, colonial game pye, and Mrs. Vobe's Tavern Dinner.  I'll bet that pin came from someone who ate there once.

I have wondered where some things came from but never pursued it like you have! And, I think the next time it happens I will have to check it out to see where it leads! sam
