I believe in tolerance, not licence.

There must be a distinction between 'defamation' and 'criticism' which, I gather, the proponents of this Process mean to use as interchangeable words, concepts and crimes.

Western jurisprudence draws definite lines regarding what is slander/libel and what is not, based on whether the words in question are true or not, and considers, I believe, malicious intent--which also is a legally-defined term and for which there must be a preponderance of evidence.

And this, I believe, is what is legally called 'precedent' for deciding how to judge this attempt of someone to make their bed cushy and nice for themselves.

If only we would stop trying to decide everything from our rage and hope and idealism, and simply apply the rational standards that are already at hand.

There is no end to their continued attempt to stop everyone else while they move about freely saying whatever they please on anything at any time is indeed very scary! All the more need for a change in D.C.! sam

Maybe it's from reading you posts, but I've noticed more and more articles from different countries where the natives are complaining about the infiltration of Muslim views. Have been getting many more e-mails about it too. People are beginning to take note - the politicians may soon be dancing on the other foot if they want to keep their positions.

So, what Hillary said in her speech back in December, "....working together to protect two fundamental freedoms – the right to practice one’s religion freely and the right to express one’s opinion without fear...." seem to be working adversely, one against the other.
