Aahh! Yes, Daughters

It was pretty hard keeping up with five daughters.  Although I trust them with anything, this is MY secret garden. You would think I was sneaking out at night or during the day to meet up with a handsome gent. That would be nice, but in MY secret garden, I don't have to leave the house. LOL

that shows how much you think of your daughter.  Mine know I write here, and I tell some of the things that I write about but not everything

Re: Amanda6

WileyJohn, aren't we all seeing some kind of connection here? Check out WileyJohn's comment.  Wiley, do you in any way resemble a bear? Just kidding.

You must forgive me FormerStudentIntern

I thought I was replying to you when I wrote about a tree house.  I don't know how my comment to you got to the top of the page.  Is it Blogit or are our angels fast at work?

I am in total agreement.

I may be coming up on 71 in May but I can still build a tree house in my mind like I'm making Blogit my very special hiding place, of course you are all allowed in. LOL

Re: a wonderful gift, what an honour to receive....and no this is our private

You got that one right Kabu.  You have already influenced me to write a short story here on Blogit.  Another gift to my new friends.

Re:

My daughter and I have always looked with reverence on the Native Americans, and wished we were descendants, but are the real thing.  Did you ever do a family tree? Sam, I think you and I have a mental thing going, perhaps lightning in our veins that is transferable.

I got the gist of the humor! I have been researching the Trail of Tears because I have a (greatx5 as I understand it) grandmother who walked it as a child! It means a great deal to me and I was taken by your wonderful gift! sam

I meant to add this comment to a previous post of yours about Native Peoples of the U.S.A. Seems to me 'Jim Thorpe' was one Native American that certainly spoke very loudly for his race by his actions as a sports figure.

In Canada we refer to the native population here as 'First Nations People' and our most famous one was Louis Riel of the Métis. We also have some very discouraging Native populations on reservations living in poverty and tragic conditions. The problem is the government throws money at those populations all year, but the chief's (Men & Women), abscond with the funds for their own private use instead of looking after their reserve populations.

I was born on 'Notisquan' (Inuit) or Anticosti Island, 'Land of the Bear'. Not a bad place for an Irishman to have been born eh?
