Keep it in God's Hands. Often we must go through things for reasons beyond our understanding. In time, things will work out well and for the benefit of most. The situation with my brother is revealing such. He has found out the deceitfulness of relatives and trusted friends. Out of jealousy and envy they acted, then he reacted. However, his long standing record in the community has the majority on his side and against his wife and daughters who have been disrespectful with such a sense of entitlement and arrogance that as Humpty Dumpty they will soon fall.
He will be held accountable for his failure to walk away and reacting in a wrong way to foolishess.
I understand about Valentines Day. You have caring individuals here and we are here to listen. I am truly blessed to have a husband and children who treat me very special on holidays and practically all the time. It is relatives and friends out side this circle who treat me as my brother was treated. It has its root in jealousy and envy of which I have no control other than do what I need to do!
