My mom never let my dad go food shopping if she could help it.
He not only tended to forget what was on the list, he was also a happy combination of impulsive and adventurous. Boiled peanuts, anyone? Reindeer meatballs in a can?

I never saved coupons, alone or otherwise and I wish they'd shove the coupons and just lower the prices as they should.

gnashing my teeth here, I have never heard worse drivel...
my experience is that Wiley is the ONLY male I have shopped with and not spent more money because he was there. Sons Father husbands....and those single guys go for all the worst food groups and I ain't ever seen them handing the coupons over..older guys maybe. This market has it all wrong.

Pat I think you will find that a lot of men tag along with the wife after they retire out of boredom. There are also more single older men. The stigma of holding a shopping basket seems to have diminished.

It is interesting when I have the time, to saunter along through the aisles pushing my cart and watching what other people put in their's.
