I always listen to my heart, altho, as I told UtahJay, sometimes the chatter from my mind tries to drown it out. I'm so glad that you are in a much better place now, and happy

I agree; it is about listening to the heart! [I wanted to let you know that I just write poetry for the fun of it, and it is never about any state of mind that I might be in. I just go about writing to get the most I can from the imagery of the theme I happen to choose! My life is good and I am very satisfied.] sam

I think you're right. I think your instincts are really the result of a

lot of unconscious thought and observation and experience that goes on in the back of your head, even (especially?) when choosing a partner.
