Not sure, but prayer and attitude of refusing the memory may help.

This is simply a marvelous poem and of course written with style and wit. The question raised at the end is something of abiding ponderance.

Annicita is right. We maybe can't, but we'd damn well better try. Man is

incredibly resilient and CAN let memories fade and try to replace them with better ones.  If we don't, we're reveling in victimhood, letting go of ourselves and of what we COULD be.

Our memory is a recording of experiences and sometimes we must go through discomfort before we can come out of the fire of Life's hurts, for we are the Victor and not the victim. Blessings Fememefeme
