Children and Tonsils
I agree with you that he should not have been sent home with a fever. I'm glad he is coming around slowly, but tell mom to keep a good watch on it. You don't know what to think anymore. When I was in the hospital a while ago the nurse came in and gave me two needles. She said the first was for the flu and told me distinctly the second one was for mercer. This is a sickness that begins in hospitals, but is now airborne. I don't know who the doctor thought he was talking to, but he said "You didn't have a shot for mercer. Mercer isn't give through a needle. I suppose I'll find time to look it up.

That sounds wildly inadequate. I hope he recovers soon in spite of the medical "care"

Sounds rather “abrupt” to release a child with a 104 temperature. Must have been quite disconcerting.

Yes, if it comes to that kind od dispensing, it can hardly be called treatment. Surprising though, the 'so-called' hospital authorities

A tonsillectomy is nothing to mess around with. Many things can and do go wrong now and then. I hope he will heal quickly.

It makes me wonder. When my son had his tonsils out about e
about 25 years ago, he had similar results. I remember it clearly because, even though he was a self-professed "big boy" by then, he still rested his head on my shoulder as we waited for the doctor, who was changing his practice fron ears nose and throat to plastic surgery! I think he's bad at both.
Times are different. You can't assume a thing.

It's sad
that he went through all that & how they take a lazy approach at caring for people young & old alike. Most hospitals just see dollar signs instead of human beings.

I did not know that they still did that Anacitta. They used to do the little children
en masse.

It's amazing the things that some hospitals do.
