- Go to WANTED: New Impresario for Next Year's SuperBowl Halftime Show
Re: It's fun, though. The half-time show is spectacular, for sure, and
Madonna knows how to entertain. It just got me to wondering, though, about how someone next year will dream up an extravaganza to top it.

Re: Bob
I read the same thing, Naut. I mssed that, too. Pretty shabby stuff, that, but I rather liked the show as a whole.

I wasn't overly impressed either. But I understand there was a 'finger malfunction', though I didn't see it...

Re: Bob
For some reason, that "wing sauce" - in big plastic jugs - became known as buffalo sauce. Go figure. Can anyone shed further light?

I didn't watch the game, but I did watch the halftime show and some of the commercials. That was my last night at work.

Re: I was puzzled too when I first saw them on a diner menu -
I'm afraid I wasn't (and still am not) very hip. The cast had gone out for beer and something after a performance, and I noticed them on the late-night menu. All I could think of was mutant winged bison.
Buffalo wings have become a very popular snack/main course in bars and diners here: chicken wings in a red and spicy "wing sauce".You can eat them as is or with some kind of dip or dressing - vinegar, barbecue, creamy ranch dressing. I am not a fan, so I am ready to be corrected on any of these points. One of our favorite watering holes has "Wing Night" when they go - I think - for 25 cents each.

Re: Funny! and so true.
Pat, were you around in the heyday of that radio show Can You Top This? The half-time show this year was actually an eye-popper, spectacular, really. But it's in the nature of these things to try to outdo the previous effort. A little feature article in the Sports section of our local paper gave me the idea.
