This is a great series. I had arthroscopic surgery on my left shoulder, only a month of rehab...Not to bad.

Another friend of mine, also, as it happens, Canadian,
is right now going through a similar process for a shoulder pain that has been tormenting him for months. Finally, they put him on a program of physical therapy without actually treating or healing the shoulder. Finally finally this week he is scheduled for MRI. I can't believe how long it has taken to get this far, and how much pain he has endured, waiting.
Is this surgery like a shoulder 'replacement' the way they replace knee and hip joints?

We know now, the shoulder situation is going to end well,
but patience is not my big virtue, either. Waiting... you have my sympathy.
