- Go to THE OLD ROCKLAND DRIVE-IN THEATER ON 303
Re: Bob, all our drive-ins are torn down and gone...
Right! I remember taking Ginny to an all-night James Bond-a-thon in Orangeburg and introducing my little son to The Star-Trek movie series at the same place. I remember visiting my sister when her kids were small and we'd let them sleep in the back while we ate the fried chicken and salad she'd brought along. Some of our bloggers are saying they still have drive-ins around their way!

Re: And every once in a while the excitement of someone driving
off without unhooking the speakers! You have two in town still operating? Marvelous! They're all closed here now. What IS your town, incidentally?

Re: Re: Re: Thanks! I thought of the passion pit angle, but I had in
Sorry for the cutoff! My best friend had his 78th yesterday, and I was the one making the birthday of chicken, stuffing, corn, salad, and pumpkin pie today.
Getting back to the blog, I found myself with six good lines and quit while I was ahead!

Re: Do you still have an operating drive-in there?? Wow! I knew
Idaho was great, but that puts it over the top!
My sister and her husband - now deceased, a former Army medic - used to have a house right on the Priest! It wasn't 20 feet from their back porch!

Re: I cannot picture you with a Game Boy. In fact, I can't picture you
at all, never having seen a photo or having been given a clue. I imagine a cross between Ronald Colman and Tom Hanks and William Wordsworth. But then, that's me.
I would love to watch a Mash-a-thon all night. That would be a lot of potato crisps and beer.

I love the Drive-in theater! We have one not to far from my town and I try to get there once per year! They were so much fun when I was a kid! Thanks for the input on my poem, I will be seeing how I can revise it too! And, I do live in Boise! I love the Priest River area also! I live in a high desert and the winters are easy but the summers can be rather hot! sam

Of course I have seen it on films Bob and walked past it in games that we used to play well similar sites. Nice thought of the wall soaked in emotions even though they were pretty shallow. I just blew the cars up as I walked past with my super cannon. Goodness don't say you have never played computer games. Down 5 last night but we are a surrounded by houses with gas burners raising the temperature. I noticed Mash was on our teli last night but Arthur is a Buffy fan.

Like folk music then, it was fun and faded fast.

That surely brings back memories of the late 1950's.
Back then it seemed to be THE place to go in summer.

Re: Ghosts of the drive-in.
I'm always fascinated by places that used to be alive and vibrant - sort of melancholy.
