I think there are time when we have to get pro-active or the suffering and delays continue beyond bearable! sam

Life seems to take us where it will and we seem to have to just do the best we can under the circumstances.

Naut

We are glad to have you back; however, this is one of the reasons most of us want our medical situation to stay as is and not have this Obama Rama forced on us. Be well soon! Look to the rest of this post.

Nautikos.

Well, I will eventually face the laser for my shoulder as well but am putting off.....and off, as results seem to vary so much.  Of course, I realize that is largely due to compliance with post op therapy, etc......even then, I've already got bad knees after replacements...after numerous scopes to repair tears, etc..... Not to mention all the claims I reviewed over the years.  Then again, it seems to me......no stats, purely personal observation....women just don't seem to do as well with repairs to our joints...... Anyway, a lot of blathering to say I hear you!!

I am sorry for the state of your body and the other misfortunes that befell you my friend. It is good to have you back and I pray you are getting over your loss of JAG and perhaps able to contemplate more pleasant thoughts.Like what? How about we're still breathin' hoss. Perhaps a touch of humour, just for you, you'll appreciate it."A 49-year-old San Francisco stockbroker, who "totally zoned when he ran", accidentally jogged off a 100-foot high cliff on his daily run."

What I've learned about doctors is that they're not as concerned

about fixing what's wrong with you as you are. And they may not be as focused on what you're saying as they ought to be because they've already made a diagnosis, or a guesstimate, and they seem to think this other info you're offering only muddies up the issue. Plus, which, at least in the U.S., there are new meds the drug companies are pushing, and there are perks for prescribing them to patients whose symptoms seem to fit. Long beat around the bush to say "Way to go, Naut! Tell the doc to do what's right!"

It's wonderful that you took the time to travel...Some doctors can be such a pain.

Seems it is the same old story all over Naut, one has to be on one's last legs top get treatment, I don't know what it will be like in twenty tears time with another large swathe of retirees.

Damn, but our lives can change suddenly from one day to the next! I'm guessing your doctor had a God complex...or was trying to bring the hospital in under budget.

Tell Naut, is this due to the government health system you folks in Canada have? I have an inkling how you feel about forced depression, as I think I felt somewhat the same when I lost my business due to a corrupt partner. I can tell you that it gets better without surgery, the depression I mean, not the tear. Press on.

I have just been catching up with your posts. Odd thing isn't it - life? You are just going along and then a few cards in the deck change....

Sorry to hear about your loss of Jag. Glad you are writing again.
