So much of what is here is disturbing
But one in particular stood out for me. I am a woman who is recovering from a marriage that was emotionally abusive(I will share the details when I am ready to delve into all of that)...before that one, I was physically abused. I don't blame ALL men for what occured. I hold myself responsible for not making better choices or getting out sooner and I hold the perpertrators responsible for their actions.
I have been blessed by two wonderful brothers, fantastic Uncles and cousins and some incredible male friends. Men are not the enemy but a society that has too long allowed abuse to be swept under the rug. Castration will not solve domestic violence anymore than it will solve rape. Both are crimes of power and control: If they can't do it one way, they will find another way.
