No. Tony has anger management issues as well, which makes things challenging. I feel he would benefit tremendously from professional help for that.

I'm not sure how long it's been going on like this for. If it's a recent development, I would try to ride it out and see how things can change. If this has been going on for awhile, I feel that it is time to move on...Is there a supervisor who can help with things?

It takes two for learning to take place - the one who teaches, and the one who is willing to be taught. If Tony does not have the will, you are being cruel to him and to yourself by continuing a charade.
Since you obviously enjoy teaching, find someone for whom you can make a positive difference...
