Go to Life in the fast lane--where's the on ramp?

There is a reason I rent a lot of videos and watch
only non-reality shows. Humanity seems to have let me down one too many times and I just can't tolerate watching some unstable teenage girl use her child as a weapon against an ex-boyfriend, women who are much too spoiled to even appreciate the lives they have and backstabbing, ugly behavior across the board. Nope give me fantasy any day of the week.
Hmmmm, I watched Disney's Tangled the other day. It made me smile....

I agree with every word of that and thank you for posting all of that. See you saved me a lot of trouble and heart ache, I feel the same about the goings-on of U.S. politics but as a Canuck I'll just keep my trap, uh, finger shut. As for Canadian politics, I think I'll just move back to Québec. Vive la Québec libre chère

Personally, I'll take reruns of Leave it to Beaver and Perry Mason. And, I do enjoy many good specials on PBS. I'm not sure reality TV is really reality.

Naut forgot the Sport's channels!! As for your post, you just gave every reason I use(plus a couple extra) for no longer watching TV...except for sports.

Pat, Naut has hit the nail on the head with our Canadian tv....
Word censorship is a joke: before 8p.m. all they'll allow is the usual "damn" or "hell" but after 8p.m., just about anything is allowed through...but our National network, CBC, has no boundaries..at anytime you're likely to see full nudity and any word is allowed through - our national taxes at work.
..
(I like Naut's list of good tv and would second it)

Well Pat I agree so far almost, I don't like watching the food channel or the comedy channel in the half an hour each day that I can spare to watch anything.

Re: Nautikos -- TV worth watching...
I agree with you 100%, Naut. I also like those and find myself watching documentaries and home improvement shows -- the good ones are Canadian-produced. I've got such a crush on Mr. Holmes, his way with reno.

While you and I have different views on the relative merits of the GOP and the Dems, I fully agree with you in every other respect! There was a week or so in October when I was 'condemned' to watch the tube (yep, I'll get around to doing that post, LOL) and I came to the conclusion that there are only five channels worth watching: The History Channel, the Discovery Channel, the Food Channel, a Comedy Channel we have here that has some neat gags from Montreal, and BNN, a Business Channel. The rest is dreck...
