Horseshoes? Head for the track. It isn't that long ago I GOT the damn ticket and wound up paying but fighting it so I had no points added to my license and a reduced fine. Hey pardMERRY CHRISTMAS

Is that like

a sticker to verify that your car is in shape meeting all the standards?  I got stopped by the same cop on the way and on the way back from Dallas from Ft Worth once... Let me tell you he wasn't any Ian and I was so hopping angry that he threatened to 'take me in' if I didn't sign.  Hey, maybe you can get a sticker for yourself... when you start back to the gym!

Nautikos,

I have had a few experiences with highway cops and just about always they are willing to give a break to someone who is courteous and doesn't try to bullshit them.  If you get caught speeding by an air patrol, there will be a ticket, though, no matter what, because those planes are expensive.

Naut...I'm glad things all worked out for you....

I would have been crapping bricks, too, when those flashing lights appeared behind you...my daughter forgot her sticker one year, too, and lucked out (I think the cop just liked her looks...)....

Nice! My son & daughter both socialize with some cops in this area - I've been lucky enough to get a break because of that more than once. And I guess I just let the cat out of the bag about my the way I drive, huh?

Glad you ran into a friendly face on the force.

We have the same sort of thing here and this happens to me more often than not, but not because I forgot, but because I am the world's greatest procrastinator.

In Australia.....Oh never mind...glad it all worked out.

I don't have to register the broom, no one is game enough to insist.

Good for you on no ticket! That happened to my son last summer when we were hauling river rock he found on Craigs list! He was not so fortunate! Now I am an old lady, lol, and the first thing the cop asked was whether there were drugs in his vehicle, he also took my license which perplexed me! So it goes to show it's who one knows in the end. lol sam

Isn't it nice to be reminded by a policeman that you know and like.

It helps a lot to know the cop.

Lucky for you - knowing the cop! In Michigan we get a mail reminder before

license expires.
